Construction work at the port is progressing
17.06.2024
Construction work on the Offenbach 2024 port is progressing: all that remains of the former CDM building at Hafenallee 59 is a pile of rubble. Following the gutting of Hafenallee 59, the building was demolished between the end of May and mid-June. CDM Smith Consult GmbH and Boxclub Nordend e.V., which were based there, moved to the nearby Rockywood at the beginning of the year.
The demolition of the building is a prerequisite for connecting Hafenallee directly to the Walter-Spiller Bridge: A new road, including a junction and traffic lights, is now being built there to replace the temporary, winding route. Stadtwerke subsidiary Mainviertel Offenbach GmbH & Co KG put these services out to tender at the beginning of May. This also includes the construction of the Unterer Molenpark (southern section) and the connection to the Mainuferweg in the easternmost section of the harbor. The measures should be completed by the end of the year, depending on the weather.
