Traffic around the Offenbach port is flowing again: the direct connection between Hafenallee and Walter-Spiller-Brücke has been completed and the traffic lights at the newly created intersection were opened at the beginning of this week. This was announced by the Stadtwerke subsidiary Mainviertel Offenbach GmbH & Co KG, which is responsible for the development of the port on behalf of the city.
The tender package for the development measures also includes the Mainuferweg - the preparatory work for closing the gap in the easternmost part of the port has been completed - and the construction of the Lower Pier Park, for which initial earthworks have begun. Depending on weather conditions, the projects will be completed from spring 2025.
