Projects 2009 to 2011
In 2009, the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS) launched the Electromobility Model Regions funding program. Eight model regions were selected from a total of more than 130 applicants nationwide. Stadtwerke Offenbach Holding GmbH was awarded the contract as the coordination office for the Rhine-Main model region. Since then, electric mobility in the region has been gaining momentum from Offenbach.
Below you will find a presentation of the individual implementation projects from the first model region phase with more than 490 electric vehicles put into operation and around 260 charging points installed as well as numerous infrastructure measures.
