Change in the management team for mobility at Stadtwerke Offenbach
13.12.2024 – At the meetings on November 21, 2024 and December 11, 2024, the Supervisory Boards recommended to the Stadtwerke Offenbach City Council that Michael Malkmus be appointed as an additional managing director of the Stadtwerke Offenbach mobility companies NiO, OVB and MMO with effect from January 1, 2025. The municipal council will discuss this on December 18. Together with Managing Director Anja Georgi, Michael Malkmus will be responsible for the Stadtwerke's Geschäftsfeld Mobilität and for the commercial area.
Michael Malkmus is to succeed Heiko Linne in this role in the new year, whose contract ends accordingly on December 31, 2024. Heiko Linne was appointed part-time Commercial Director at OVB and MMO in June 2019 due to the extensive challenges in the Geschäftsfeld Mobilität business area. Together with Anja Georgi, he has been responsible for the extensive restructuring measures in the economically challenging restructuring phase of the business area since June 2019 and has brought it to a successful conclusion. This project has now been completed and the targets set have been achieved and in some cases exceeded. During his time as Managing Director, Heiko Linne helped to align the business division more economically and with even clearer organizational structures. Overall, during his appointment, the municipal budget was relieved and new sources of income were tapped.
Heiko Linne, who has been Operations Manager of ESO Stadtservice GmbH and Managing Director of ESO Offenbacher Dienstleistungsgesellschaft mbH in Stadtwerke Offenbach's Stadtservice business field for many years, would like to focus his activities more on his core tasks in Stadtservice and major commercial projects for the Stadtwerke Offenbach Group. From the coming year 2025, Heiko Linne will be responsible for the introduction of an ERP system, a major project that is central to the Stadtwerke Group. As part of the digitalization strategy, the new software system will be used to plan, control and support processes in the areas of finance, HR, procurement, production and the supply chain in a holistic manner.
Michael Malkmus was Head of Controlling at Stadtwerke Offenbach Holding GmbH (SOH) from December 2018 to December 2022. He has been Commercial Director since January 2023. In this role, he has already supported the commercial development of the Mobility division. He has also been an authorized signatory at SOH since April of this year. With Michael Malkmus, the group of companies thus has access to its own expertise and personnel. The appointment of Michael Malkmus as part-time managing director of the municipal utility mobility companies NiO, OVB and MMO will run until April 30, 2028 - Anja Georgi's management contracts for the OVB and MMO companies were already concluded on June 1, 2022 with the same term. Ms. Georgi has been appointed Managing Director of NiO Nahverkehr in Offenbach for an indefinite period.
