Passenger advisory board: representing interests, having a say, making a difference
The Passenger Advisory Board is committed to the interests of bus and rail passengers in Offenbach and advises the Stadtwerke Offenbach Group's mobility service provider NiO on all issues relating to everyday public transport. It deals with problems and needs in everyday public transport from the passengers' point of view and represents an independent link between the passengers and the municipal public transport organization, NiO - Nahverkehr in Offenbach GmbH from the Stadtwerke Offenbach Group's Geschäftsfeld Mobilität.
The Passenger Advisory Council acts in an advisory capacity on a voluntary basis and meets three times a year. It is made up of representatives from organizations and associations as well as non-organized public transport users who are close to the traffic situation and therefore have a special view of problem areas and weak points in the public transport system.
As a representative body and mouthpiece for passengers, the advisory board has a comprehensive right to information, consultation and suggestions. Because it evaluates public transport from the customers' perspective, it is an important source of advice and ideas for NiO and its planning and management work. Through dialog with NiO, the committee helps to increase the acceptance and attractiveness of public transport.
