NiO's tasks include providing mobility advice for private customers and companies as well as ordering, financing and monitoring the performance of public transport, quality and complaints management and the marketing of public transport.

Over 80 modern OVB low-floor buses - around half of which are electric - are in operation on nine inner-city routes, serving more than 200 stops and carrying more than 10 million passengers a year.

The city bus service is supplemented by electromobile services: Together with RMV, OVB operates the eMobil electric car and bike sharing service with six stations in the Offenbach city area. For environmentally friendly transportation, Stadtwerke Offenbach and the city's Office for the Environment, Energy and Climate Protection, in cooperation with the Rhine-Main regional group of Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD), provide four electric cargo bikes that citizens can borrow free of charge.
