Waste and recyclable materials are generated everywhere - whether in private households or companies. In Offenbach, the waste disposal department from the Stadtservice business field of Stadtwerke Offenbach is responsible for waste disposal. You can find all the information you need on this page.

Waste collection in Offenbach
For proper waste separation, the Stadtservice Business Field provides collection containers for residual and organic waste, waste paper and packaging material. This waste is collected as part of the collection service.
You can choose between different container sizes and, for organic and residual waste, between different collection frequencies and service types.

Special emptying
If a garbage can is left standing because it has been overfilled or incorrectly filled or you have forgotten to put it out, you can request a special emptying. This applies to all types of waste. The costs for special emptying can be found in §5 of the waste fee statutes:
Bulky waste and electronic waste
In Offenbach, bulky waste and electronic waste are collected by appointment. Two bulky waste appointments per year are free of charge for every household.

Waste glass
Used glass should be disposed of in the collection containers located throughout the city. Please sort glass packaging by color and throw it into the appropriate container. Blue or colored glass should be thrown into the container for green glass.

The current locations of the used glass containers in the city area can be obtained from the customer service department of the Geschäftsfeld Stadtservice.
Recycling center
Green waste, building rubble and much more can be delivered to the Offenbach recycling center at Dieselstraße 37 free of charge - provided that this waste comes from an Offenbach household and the quantity does not exceed one cubic meter per week.

Construction waste, building site waste and garden waste can also be disposed of in collapsible containers. Empty collapsible containers can be collected from the recycling center by prior arrangement, while full collapsible containers can be collected from you by Stadtservice.
Disposal of pollutants
The collection point for hazardous substances and paints at the recycling center at Dieselstraße 37 is always open on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
