Permanent sewer and house connections

The client (the building owner or a commissioned planning office) fills out the form and sends it by e-mail to the civil engineering department of the municipal utilitieskanalanschluss.esostadtwerke-ofde. It is required for submission to the building inspectorate.

You will receive information by e-mail about the connection options to the public sewage system, including an extract from the sewer plan.

The building owner coordinates with the lower water authority (opens in a new tab) regarding the rainwater regulations (opens in a new tab) (NiWaS).

The Civil Engineering Department of Stadtservice checks the drainage application and informs the applicant by e-mail of any necessary changes and conditions.

Finally, the drainage application, which may have already been pre-approved, must be signed by the client and submitted to Stadtservice in paper form. It should be noted that one copy must be retained by Stadtservice. A corresponding number of requested return copies must also be submitted.

The Civil Engineering Department of Stadtservice issues a preliminary decision based on the drainage application submitted in paper form. On the basis of this preliminary decision, the construction of the house connection and subsequent commissioning and discharge permit are approved. If the construction work does not comply with the pre-approved drainage planning, the preliminary decision expires and a new drainage application must be submitted.

The Civil Engineering Department of Stadtservice approves the application on the basis of the previously issued preliminary decision.

The client (represented here by the civil engineering company) reports the start of construction of the connection to the public main sewer. At the same time, the appointment for visual inspection in an open excavation pit must be arranged directly with a Stadtservice employee.

After the connecting sewer and the transfer shaft have been completed by the civil engineering company and the pipe trench has been completely backfilled, the client must commission a company to carry out the necessary acceptance tests.

The dates of the acceptance test, which are carried out by the company commissioned by the client, must be communicated to the Civil Engineering Department as early as possible so that the tests must take place in the presence of an employee of Stadtservice.

Once the site drainage system has been completed, the client must also commission the acceptance tests for the underground and inaccessible pipes. The dates of the tests must be notified to the Civil Engineering Department, but do not necessarily have to be carried out in the presence of an employee. The test results must be submitted to the Civil Engineering Department for inspection after all work has been completed.

The test results are viewed by Stadtservice. Upon submission of defect-free as-built documentation, the unlimited commissioning of the property drainage system and thus the discharge of wastewater and rainwater subject to charges is approved.

The client is now responsible for operating the private property drainage system and the connecting sewer.
