The civil engineering department of the municipal utilities supervises the planning, execution and approval of house connections to the public sewer system. The following is a step-by-step guide to the approval procedure. The required forms and information sheets are linked for download under the respective steps. Approval procedure for new house connections

From the initial inquiry to the completion of a house connection, there is a lot to consider. Below we explain step by step what you need to do in each phase.

Stadtservice maintains the public wastewater facilities. The connecting sewers, which generally extend from the transfer shaft up to and including the connection point to the public sewage system, are the property of the subscriber and are the responsibility of the subscriber. The owner must plan, construct, renew, modify, maintain, operate and remove his drainage system, including the connecting sewer, in accordance with the applicable generally recognized technical regulations. In the event of damage to the connecting sewer, the owner shall bear the costs of the repairs.
