The Bieber cemetery
When the Bieber district was incorporated into Offenbach in 1938, the Bieber cemetery was still on the other side of the railroad line, away from the residential areas. Old avenues of trees and the old cemetery hall are reminders of its history.
As the eastern part of Offenbach grew, a funeral hall was built in the then new part and the cemetery was extended to the north outside the original cemetery walls. Due to the new residential areas in Bieber-West and Waldhof and the increase in population to over 19,000 inhabitants, the cemetery was extended to the B 448 in 2008. The total area of the cemetery now covers 54,898 square meters.
