Relief for grave care
Interest in garden-managed graves in Offenbach continues to grow. Therefore, after the cemeteries in Bürgel and Rumpenheim, the corresponding cemetery in Bieber has now also been expanded.
The prerequisite for a gardener-managed burial ground is the conclusion of a contract with the Treuhandstelle für Dauergrabpflege Hessen-Thüringen GmbH. It guarantees a grave marked with a stone or a stele and landscaped all year round by cemetery gardeners in harmoniously designed grounds for the agreed period of rest. The bereaved have no work with grave maintenance and the comforting certainty that their loved ones are resting in beautiful surroundings.
"Burial in a cemetery like this is a huge relief for grieving relatives, especially in increasingly hot and dry summers, and is being chosen more and more frequently," says Mayor and Head of Cemeteries Peter Freier. "That's why this service is not only available at two plots at the New Cemetery, but now also at all burial sites in the city districts."
For the expansion in Bieber, the existing circles were enlarged like a fan. 40 partner graves, each with two grave spaces, as well as single graves are now possible on the 730 square meter area - and many of them are already occupied.
