Perennial beds: sea of flowers on the central reservation
07.05.2024 – The first perennials on the central reservation of the Odenwaldring and Mühlheimer Straße have now blossomed. After the first round of maintenance by the gardeners from Stadtwerke Offenbach's Stadtservice, the green-yellow euphorbia and the blue-flowering catmint are currently providing color.
This year, however, the early-flowering bulbs only had a short time to show their colors after a brief warm phase and subsequent cold, persistent moisture. The 19 areas planted with perennials are designed in such a way that insects can find open flowers and thus food throughout the warm months, increasing the attractiveness of the city.
