New asphalt for cycle path
17.05.2024 – Tempelseestraße has been marked as a section of the Offenbach cycle route since October 2021. The asphalt is now being resurfaced so that cyclists can ride here quickly and without bumps. The measure is being financed from the budget of the Office for Mobility, which was made available to implement the "For a bicycle-friendly city" agreement.
Sabine Groß, the responsible mobility officer and mayor: "We want to make cycling in Offenbach more comfortable and safer and therefore more attractive. Not only the creation of new infrastructure contributes to this, but also the maintenance of existing infrastructure. That's why Tempelseestraße between Feldstraße and Hessenring is currently being renovated." The measure is being implemented on behalf of Stadtwerke Offenbach's Stadtservice. Melanie Gessner, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Stadtwerke Offenbach, provided information about the details.
A total of 3,700 square meters of new asphalt will be applied in three construction phases. The asphalting will be completed today, Friday. The road will then be marked as a cycle lane again.
