Offenbach defect reporter goes digital: old reports are being cleaned up
08.04.2024 – The 48-hour dirt removal deadline has also become well established in Offenbach thanks to the dedicated cooperation of citizens. The shortened digital reporting channels between the entry via the defect reporter to the actual order to the waste disposal team and its completion confirmation via the tablet are the basis of the system, which improves Offenbach's cityscape.
The system for the removal of illegal waste has been digitized for around a year. The reporting channels for other defects such as potholes or abandoned signs will also be converted over the course of the year. In future, the employees of the responsible Stadtservice department will be able to add a digital tick to the process after each completion. The reported defect will then automatically disappear from the display.
At present, there are still a number of legacy issues from the analog process in the report that have presumably been dealt with for months. This is the result of spot checks carried out by Stadtservice on around 500 old cases in the system. In most cases, these are orders that were still passed on to the responsible waste disposal workers by means of order slips and whose completion slips, which were also completed by hand, did not end up in the correct analog compartment in Stadtservice.
For this reason, Stadtservice has now decided to remove the old notifications from the system from May 2024 to improve clarity. Citizens who have submitted the report will receive a brief notification about the data cleansing. If the reported problem still exists, the notifier will be asked to enter it again.
