Stadtservice now also available by phone on Saturdays
01.07.2024 – From July 1, Stadtwerke Offenbach's customer service will also be available on Saturdays. Citizens will then be able to contact the team by telephone from Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Fridays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This means that availability has only been reduced by one hour in the afternoon on Fridays, when demand was already low.
"With the three hours on Saturday, we are now also making it easier for people who have little time during the week due to work and appointments to reach us. My thanks go to the customer service team, who ensure that we can be reached by phone," says Martin Wilhelm, City Treasurer and responsible department head.
"We always measure the number of incoming calls, even outside our business hours. This gives us a basis for adjusting our availability," says Heiko Linne, Operations Manager of ESO Stadtservice mbH. "The figures have shown that a relatively large number of people try to reach us on Saturday mornings. We want to accommodate them and, above all, working people by extending our working hours."
Angelika Samarelli, Head of Customer Services, refers to an internal list from her department showing the accessibility of comparable facilities with 17 other cities in Hesse and close to the state border. "According to our non-representative comparison, citizens can only call customer service on Saturdays in five other municipalities. In total, Offenbach residents will be able to reach us 51 hours a week in future, which puts us at the top of our list. The figures for the comparable municipalities vary between 22 and 50 hours."
