The Rolandgarten - city garden in the Senefelder Quartierspark

The Rolandgarten consists of 19 raised beds in the Senefelde Quartierspark, in which herbs, fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants grow.

The Rolandgarten was created in 2016 as part of the redesign of the former MAN Roland printing press manufacturer's factory premises in the style of the harbor garden and at the request of local residents to garden right on their doorstep.

"Besser leben in Offenbach" has been working on Rolandgarten since spring 2018. The beds were planted in a joint planting campaign by the KIZ job café and the "Jugend stärken im Quartier" project. Fruit bushes, herbs, vegetables and flowers thrive in the raised beds and zucchinis, tomatoes and potatoes were harvested for the first time in late summer 2018.

Amateur gardeners from the neighborhood who would like to lend a hand and take over the maintenance of a raised bed can contact the Stadtwerke's green sponsor team.
