Giving children in need a special Christmas together
08.12.2023 – This year, Stadtwerke Offenbach employees once again took part in the "Christmas parcels for children in need" campaign organized by the Kinderzukunft foundation. In this campaign, the employees bought, assembled and packed the presents themselves to bring joy to children from needy backgrounds.
For this reason, Stadtwerke Offenbach employees handed in around 200 lovingly wrapped Christmas parcels within a month, which were then transported to the Kinderzukunft foundation by Stadtwerke subsidiary GBM Service GmbH. All the parcels from the various collection points are taken there and transported by truck to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and, if possible, Ukraine. Once there, the parcels are distributed to children in orphanages, clinics, schools and kindergartens, as well as in poor neighborhoods in towns and villages.
A gesture with which the employees of Stadtwerke would like to make the children and young people in crisis-ridden countries happy at Christmas time.
