City of Offenbach

390,016.36 euros flowed into donations & sponsoring

24.06.2022 – Stadtwerke Offenbach will continue to be one of "Germany's best" in terms of sustainability in 2022 - according to a recent study commissioned by FOCUS Money. To illustrate this commitment with facts, we regularly publish a "figure of the month" on the topic. In June, the focus is on donations and sponsoring: Stadtwerke Offenbach uses these to promote social and ecological sustainability on site.

Figure of the month June 2022:

390,016.36 euros
flowed into donations & sponsoring at Stadtwerke Offenbach 2021. A wide variety of areas of public life were supported - sporting and social, ecological and cultural.

In addition to Offenbacher Kickers as one of the largest sponsors, Stadtwerke also traditionally supports sports clubs that are particularly committed to local social causes: the nationally renowned Boxclub Nordend e.V., the national league judo club JC Samurai Offenbach and the Offenbach Fencing Club, with which a new three-year contract will be signed on July 1, 2022. "The youth departments of these clubs contribute a great deal to integration in our international city," says Stadtwerke Managing Director Peter Walther. "Overall, our donations and sponsoring activities show that we care about the common good of our citizens far beyond the provision of services of general interest."

In 2021, donations were made to the Bürgerstiftung and the Tafel Offenbach food bank, as well as the Förderverein Sicheres Offenbach, TSG Bürgel and the Joblinge program, which helps unemployed young people enter the world of work.

The Klingspor Museum and the Capitol Classic Lounge have benefited from Stadtwerke's commitment for many years. The Mainbogen sheep farm, which ensures ecological landscape conservation in Offenbach, is also supported. In 2022, the jersey advertising for the youth of TSV Mühlheim Lämmerspiel will be added. The major events always supported by Stadtwerke Offenbach, the Mainuferfest and Lichterfest, are now also being supported again after a two-year pandemic break. There are also many opportunities for individual donations, ranging from grants for a play or sports camp to the Green Classroom and events against racism.
