City of Offenbach

35.5 percent energy saved

29.03.2023 – The city and Stadtwerke Offenbach saved 35.5 percent of energy in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The energy-saving measures, for which the municipal utility subsidiary GBM Service GmbH Offenbach is responsible for monitoring and statistics, have therefore paid off: The heating systems in the municipal buildings can reach a maximum of 19 degrees from October 2022 until probably mid-April 2023.

In addition, many locations, such as the Stadtwerke headquarters on Senefelderstrasse and the town hall, will no longer be heated on Fridays and at weekends during this period and employees will remain in their home offices. Some offices remained completely closed from December 23, 2022 to January 6, 2023.

These measures were triggered by the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine.
