Full program ahead
05.09.2024 – Even if the view from the window doesn't give it away (yet): meteorologically, autumn has begun - and one reason to love this colorful, fresh season is the start of the new indoor season. After the summer break, the Capitol Theater Offenbach and Stadthalle Offenbach team is looking forward to full calendars and numerous guests.

There may still be some catching up to do, says Birgit von Hellborn: "It's noticeable that a particularly large number of dates are sold out this coming fall." These include comedian Chris Tall (7.9.), rapper Ski Aggu (1.10.) and, just one day later, the legendary Beatsteaks, Turkey's most successful stand-up comedian Cem Yilmaz (4.10.) and "Die drei ??? und der Zauberspiegel" on 6.10. (all dates in the Stadthalle). Regular guests Deva Premal and Miten, who are also well-booked, make the truly English week perfect for the team at the city's event venues with "Singing our Prayers" on October 5. It was only in mid-August that Hazel Brugger, the queen of repartee, accepted a Sold Out Award at the Capitol.
International diversity and top-class series
The above-mentioned dates with rap and rock, participatory radio plays, mantras and master comedy from various countries shed light on the continuing diversity of events at Stadtwerke Offenbach's venues. There is something for all ages and tastes, including many international artists. A Romanian comedy and Turkish theater will open the new season at the Capitol on September 14 and 15, while Russian stand-up comedian Sergey Orlov will perform at the Stadthalle on September 18.
The top-class series in Offenbach continues on Goethestraße: Theateressenz presents "La Codista" on 16 September, a small masterpiece about the beauty of standing still and waiting for redemption, followed by "ABBA jetzt!" on 7 October. - a trio of men in tails who have been keeping themselves and their audiences young for 27 years with the export hits from Sweden. The day before, the Capitol Classic Lounge (CCL) opens with a real "Offenbach Symphony": Johann Anton André's "Great Symphony in E flat major" has not been played for 100 years - now this gem of local music history fills the Capitol and will also be recorded on CD on this occasion. However far away the Advent season may seem: CCL tickets for "Secret Christmas Wishes" are already running out. So if you want to experience the all-time classics from "In Dulci Jubilo" to "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" and "Last Christmas" in "upcycled" versions for choir and orchestra on December 15, you'd better hurry.
Comedy & Cabaret, Craft & Hardcore
Frank Martini's (Gatsby) "Party of the Century" on November 2 is already completely sold out. The "Cabaret Noir" on October 14 offers a similar 1920s ambience, combining knife throwers, sword swallowers and aerial acrobatics with the allure of dancers and burlesque performances. In addition to amazement, laughter also has its traditional place in the city's event venues: "Don't get upset. You'll only get wrinkles!" advises comedian and actor Bernd Stelter on September 29 in the Capitol, and Bülent Ceylan will be spreading the much-anticipated spirit of optimism in the Stadthalle on December 4 with "Yallah hopp!".
The multifunctional hall on Waldstrasse shows once again in the fall how versatile it is: at the Gemstone Days on September 21/22, more than 50 exhibitors from Germany and abroad present their "Treasures of the Earth", and the Offenbacher Sammelsurium on November 9/10 brings the finest craftsmanship, imaginative fashion, applied art and design to the creative city on the Main for the 37th time. On September 28, Slava Vakarchuk, the frontman of the Ukrainian rock band "Okean Elzy", will be performing an emotional performance: his songs are true anthems of freedom and self-determination, and part of the ticket proceeds will go towards current aid projects in his home country.
Of course, Offenbach's legendary "Home of Rock'n'Roll" must not be without its leather sides and strings: Remaining tickets are still available for the Sepultura concert on their European Farewell Tour on October 31, while the performance by hardcore band Falling in Reverse on November 29 is irreversibly "sold out". Faithless ("Insomnia") on November 23 has just gone on sale, while the Offenbach date of Nas' anniversary tour on November 8, 30 years after the release of his debut album "Illmatic", is already sold out. US rapper Ken Carson on 24.9., the mysterious pop newcomer 1986zig on 27.9., "Rampensau" Alexander Eder on 19.10. and the even more scream-worthy Chippendales on 22.10. round off the colorful, fresh offerings in autumn.
