Clear the stage for the new year: Capitol and Stadthalle offer a diverse selection at the start of 2026
18.12.2025 – At the beginning of 2026, the Capitol Theater Offenbach and Stadthalle Offenbach will present a stage program for all tastes and ages - ballet and breakdance, Radetzky, rock and rap, spiritual and spectacular.
Capitol: fabulous and experimental
The Capitol Theater starts the new year on a light foot: the Royal Classical Ballet presents Tchaikovsky's classic "Swan Lake" on 7 January 2026. The story of the enchanted swan princess, who can only be redeemed through true love, has been moving people since 1877. "We call it Ballet: Sleeping Beauty" on 24 January and 22 February and "Ballet of Lights: Cinderella" on January 25 and March 8 also focus on fairytale characters on pointe shoes. "Breakin' Mozart: Classical meets Breakdance" takes a more modern approach: On January 8, the innovative, internationally successful crossover show combines virtuoso Mozart sounds from the piano with the breakneck art of breakdance world champion DDC - and thus also generations in the audience.
The Capitol Symphony Orchestra knows its way around a crossover. At its traditional New Year's concert with variety show on 18 January, Strauss and Radetzky melodies alternate with colorful film music and smart classical music, while the variety show program invites you to marvel and laugh. Young guests will get their money's worth on February 1 when Julian Janssen alias Checker Julian says on his first big live tour: "Come on, let's find out!" The TV presenter gets to the bottom of scientific phenomena and reports on his search for real dinosaurs. Adult nature lovers can enjoy Dominik Eulberg's biodiversity show on February 14 - a multimedia, interdisciplinary experience as inspiring as nature itself.
The colorful KonfettiClub 2026 on Friday, February 13 promises the best party atmosphere: dancing to current hits and older classics is encouraged and costumes are mandatory. The Capitol is also a colorful and international venue, for example with the flamenco evening on 31.01., the singing diva Yasmin Levy on 07.02., the tribute show "One Night of Dire Straits" with a nine-piece cast on 08.02. or the Bosnian actor and comedian Enis Bešlagić on 1 March. The first evening of the Capitol Classic Lounge 2026 on March 15 will be dedicated to George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" under the motto "Swing & Symphony".
Stadthalle: profound and explosive
A classic of down-to-earth wisdom opens the program at Stadthalle Offenbach in 2026. In "Loriot - Die Ente bleibt draußen!" on January 10, an excellent ensemble recalls Vicco von Bülow's legendary sketches and absurdities of everyday life such as marriage counseling, parking fees, the crooked picture on the wall or the bathing scene with Mr. Müller-Lüdenscheidt.
How can a life of true contentment be achieved? Dr. Leon Windscheid, one of the country's best-known psychologists, will attempt to answer this question live on January 15. A little tip in advance: the solution is not to be found in the program title "Alles perfekt"... The Offenbach Carnival Association will set off its traditional "Fireworks of Good Cheer" on 17 January, followed by the OKV's big Offenbach Rose Monday on 16 February. The fact that the Stadthalle has also served as the home of rock'n'roll for almost 60 years is proven by Biffy Clyro's performance on February 13: the British rock band had barely announced their return to the stage when the concert was already sold out. Tickets are still available for Gzuz, one of Germany's best-known gangsta rappers, on February 5.
Those who already have and supposedly know everything can venture into new territory in the Stadthalle in 2026 - for example with Aca Lukas & Dragana Mirković and their Balkan music in the style of turbo folk on 7 February, with the powerful-voiced Turkish duo Funda Arar & Kubat on 12 February or with "Rock, Rap & Zaubershow" with The Butcher Sisters on 28 February: the satirical and self-deprecating guys from Mannheim mix hardcore with humor and metal with Ballermann. This goes down so well that they played at Europe's biggest summer festivals in 2025. The technology used by mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner to present world mountains in a 4th dimension on March 6 is also new: The photorealistic images of 13 selected peaks are based on satellite images and open up previously unthinkable perspectives - on historical expeditions as well as future mountaineering challenges.
Tickets for all events are available from Frankfurt Ticket RheinMain GmbH, telephone 069 / 13 40 400, online www.frankfurtticket.de, (opens in a new tab) as well as at other known advance booking offices.
