Continue to support the economy during the pandemic.

These two core principles shaped the activities of the Offenbach Economic Development Agency last year. And with success, as the 2021 annual report shows: Offenbach am Main is growing - despite coronavirus. "We have initiated a number of high-profile new company relocations and set the course for the city's long-term positive economic development," says Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke.

The interest in available space continued, even if some projects were delayed. The feared increase in vacancies for office space has so far failed to materialize, and Offenbach remains one of the top regions in Germany for the number of business start-ups. "We are also continuing to work hard on the necessary revitalization of our city centre," emphasizes Schwenke.

Despite the changed framework conditions, the business development agency stood by all companies to provide them with reliable and active support in these difficult times. By consistently pursuing key projects, it was possible to position Offenbach as a business location on a broader basis and make it fit for the future. "These successes are no coincidence, but the result of clear strategies," emphasized the mayor. The 2021 annual report shows what this looks like in detail and which focal points shaped the work of business development in the past year.
