HGA Gesundheitsakademie Hessen builds new campus in Offenbach

15.01.2026

With the opening of its new campus at Fritz-Remy-Straße 25, HGA Gesundheitsakademie Hessen is opening a new chapter in its development. Since its foundation in 1999, the academy has been known for its high-quality, practice-oriented training and further education in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke is delighted with the decision for the location: "With its new campus and its investment in modern training rooms, digital learning platforms and its own laboratory, HGA is improving the conditions for recruiting and securing skilled workers in the healthcare sector in the region. This is a helpful building block for the economic development of our city."

The HGA is one of only two state-recognized disinfector schools in Hesse and also one of the few rescue service schools in the state. The diverse range of skills includes hygiene and disinfection training, emergency training and healthcare and pharmacy-specific management qualifications.

In addition to specialist and advanced qualifications, the HGA also offers well-founded basic and competence courses that prepare students specifically for the job market. In future, the academy will also offer degree courses. Talks on cooperation with universities are already underway.

"Our new campus in Offenbach is a milestone," explains Hasan Cem Atas, Head of the Academy. "It enables us to expand our extensive range of further training courses and offer innovative solutions to regional companies, associations and institutions. The practical training of our participants is particularly important to us."

HGA received significant support from the city's economic development department in its search for a new location. "We were looking for an optimal location for a long time. In addition to office and seminar rooms, the new site now also offers us a spacious outdoor area, ideal for an educational campus," says Atas.

The almost 4,000 square meter site near the Hainbach stream is now home to 30 workplaces. And the trend is rising.

As a committed player in the education and healthcare sector, the health academy also wants to make a contribution to the development of Offenbach as a business and education location. Right from the start, contact was proactively sought with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Offenbach Association in order to provide support.

"We are convinced that Offenbach, with its dynamism, is the right place to drive innovation in education and health. We have already got to know many players with whom projects are possible and ideas can be implemented," emphasizes Academy Director Atas. "This can make Offenbach and the region even more attractive for skilled workers and companies."

Lord Mayor Schwenke adds: "I welcome the fact that an entrepreneur is not only investing here, but is also directly involved in the existing networks for our business location. A small network of laboratory-related companies is slowly emerging in Offenbach. There is a chance that our strategy could work here. I wish the HGA every success!"

The HGA Gesundheitsakademie Hessen is also a member of the House of Pharma & Healthcare, where it focuses its work as an education and innovation partner on further training, dialog and research, thus providing important impetus for the further development of the industry at a national and international level.
