Neighborhood meeting at the Ostpol brings the district together
27.08.2025
The Ostpol Gründercampus offered the opportunity for a get-together on Tuesday, August 19. Residents and local businesses from the neighborhood were able to talk and exchange ideas with the tenants of the Ostpol Gründercampus and the initiatives present in an informal atmosphere with food, drinks and exercise games.
It was a premiere, as this was the first time the event format had been implemented. The Ostpol opened its doors and provided an insight behind the scenes of the Gründercampus.
The event was organized by the city's business development department in close cooperation with GBO Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft Offenbach mbH, KIZ SINNOVA gGmbH and the Mathildenviertel neighbourhood management team. All founders from the Ostpol and surrounding residents of the Mathildenviertel, from young to old, were invited. Companies from the surrounding area and other interested parties were also very welcome.
Culinary delicacies and refreshing drinks were served in the inner courtyard while guests listened to the introductory rounds in which the founders from the Ostpol and companies from the neighborhood presented their businesses. A guided tour of the building gave those interested a glimpse behind the scenes of the start-up campus.
The varied program offered something for every taste: from a drumming workshop by the Offenbach am Main Music School, which promoted musical talent, to movement games that ensured physical activity, to a stand for the greening of the Mathildenviertel, where ideas could be discussed and creatively developed. The freshly brewed coffee from an Ostpol tenant's portafilter machine provided a special highlight for coffee lovers.
From the organizers' point of view, the great response reflects the success of the evening. It was characterized by many new encounters and impressions and thus showed how fruitful and meaningful this event format is. On the one hand, people from the district were able to familiarize themselves with the Ostpol start-up center and learn a lot about developments in the business landscape in their immediate neighbourhood. On the other hand, the founders of Ostpol in particular were given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the people in the neighborhood and thus reduce their perceived distance to the surrounding neighborhood.
