City marketing
Offenbach should not only be developed as a business location, but also as a place where people enjoy living and spending their leisure time. City marketing aims to achieve this goal through various measures and projects.
The Offenbacher Stadtmarketinggesellschaft mbH (OSG) is involved in city marketing in cooperation with the City of Offenbach's business development department. Together, they implement projects and initiatives that serve to increase Offenbach's attractiveness.
The Economic Development Agency is the point of contact for business matters in Offenbach and is responsible for city management and supporting the city's retail trade. OSG is a holding company of the City of Offenbach and Stadtwerke Offenbach and is responsible for key marketing tasks on behalf of the city.
A central role in city marketing is currently played by the "City Center Future Concept", which was adopted in June 2020 and serves to strengthen and revitalize Offenbach's city center in the long term. In addition, Offenbach's retail and gastronomy sectors are to be promoted. City marketing has already implemented projects such as the Offenbach economic stimulus package, vouchers and a shopping guide.
Festivals and events in Offenbach's city center and throughout the city also help to revitalize Offenbach. Examples include campaign days such as "Heimat-Shoppen", the artists' market on Wilhelmsplatz and the two major city festivals, the Mainuferfest in June and the Festival of Lights in August.
Additional activities and festivals invite people to linger in Offenbach and strengthen the city as a place where people enjoy spending their leisure time.
