Tanja Ronaghi: From the test room to your own boutique
The Offenbach designer has proven herself in the test room with her label - now she is opening her first own store in the city center.
Tanja Ronaghi (opens in a new tab) was the first temporary tenant in the Testraum - now she is the first recipient of funding from the Testraum Fund. After successfully testing her concept in the test space from March to the end of April, the fashion designer is now opening her own store "Ninone by Tanja Ronaghi" at Frankfurter Straße 13 on Hugenottenplatz in February 2026 with the support of the City of Offenbach.
The circle closes
In the newly opened store, she will primarily offer her own collection as well as high-quality pieces from local brands. By opening her own store, she is realizing exactly what the test space was created for: creative entrepreneurs are given the space to gain initial experience and then implement their business ideas permanently in the city centre. Tanja Ronaghi's story closes this circle for the first time. It proves how successful the initiative is.
An Offenbach family story
The store on Hugenottenplatz is a familiar place for the designer. Her mother Susan Ghods has been running the women's boutique Ninone there for 33 years.
Tanja RonaghiI grew up in the store, so to speak, and it has become very dear to my heart. By taking over the business, I can continue our family tradition.
Jump start from all sides
Renovations are still underway before the reopening in February. Landlord Rudolf Walter from Grundstücksgemeinschaft Walter-Passage GbR is fully supporting the plans: "A modern environment is also part of a new start. I am therefore having the space completely modernized so that something new can visibly grow here." The future store design comes from the creative office Design in Architektur from Darmstadt, which has already designed the modular interior of the test space.
As the first recipient of funding from the Test Space Fund, Tanja Ronaghi will receive both financial and technical support from experts who will assist her with the development of the business. The fund provides entrepreneurs with start-up support for the implementation of their store concepts, particularly in the difficult initial phase.

Impetus for Offenbach's city center
With her offer in the test room, Ronaghi 2025 not only supported the local fashion scene, but also the goal of revitalizing Offenbach's retail sector. "I am rooted in Offenbach and am delighted to be able to show my designs in my home town," she explained at the time. Her stay revitalized the city centre and showed impressively how creativity can be used to combat vacancies.
Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke is delighted with her move to open her own store: "I am delighted that we are able to support a young, highly motivated entrepreneur with this funding and I am pleased that her business will enrich the city center. Tanja Ronaghi has already successfully tried out the test room. The fact that she has now settled permanently in the city center after this temporary phase is entirely in line with the basic idea of the Testraum-Allee and what we expect from her. It is a prime example of how our approach to revitalizing the city centre can work as one of many building blocks."
Successor in the test room: Max Eichenlaub with vinyl culture for Offenbach's city center
The Offenbach music lover brought a fresh sound to the test room with his "Sphere" project. From new and used records to accessories and releases by local artists - everything here revolved around vinyl and community.
What is the test room?
The test space is a centrally located retail space at Grosse Marktstrasse 39 in Offenbach (opposite the KOMM Center), which has been rented by the city until December 2025. Companies, start-ups and business founders from various sectors have the opportunity to try out their store concepts here temporarily for a maximum of three months. And if your application is successful, the rent is free!
The test space is being realized by the city of Offenbach and the Offenbach offensiv association as part of the future project Testraum-Allee. The test space was funded by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building through the Federal Program for Sustainable Inner Cities and Centers (opens in a new tab)Federal Program for Sustainable Inner Cities and Centers (opens in a new tab).
