radraum, jugendraum and stadtraum celebrated their final party in the town hall pavilion

More than just a creative meeting place: for two years, the town hall pavilion has shown how well suited it is as a central cultural venue and meeting point for Offenbach's city center. Since 2022, the temporary offerings stadtraum, radraum and jugendraum have transformed the building into a "place to be" with exhibitions, readings, flea markets, a café, drinks and cycling culture. These interim uses came to an end in June 2024 to pave the way for the renovation of the town hall pavilion. Many guests came together once again for a big closing party to celebrate in the building and the surrounding town courtyard.

"The town hall pavilion is one of a total of 16 key projects in our future concept for the city center. The past two years have shown that many people are actually looking for and using such a meeting place in the city center. Radraum, stadtraum and jugendraum have proven this: Such offers work. That's why the city is renovating the building from October to make it possible to operate there permanently," explains Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke.

The programme started on Friday in the stadtraum with a concert entitled "Sing for summer" followed by a karaoke party organized by the Offenbach choir project "Softchor".

On Saturday lunchtime, the party continued in all three rooms. The jugendraum put out the table football and organized a living room with a bar in the outdoor area. There were various hands-on stations such as a button machine.

In the stadtraum, the information series on inner city development "Offen denken" was organized for the 7th time by Agentur Mitte. Afterwards, the "open dance" team organized the Dexterous Music Collectives culinary offerings, a small arts & crafts market with ceramics, textiles, jewelry and graphic design as well as a play and painting corner for children.

Changing DJs played laid-back funk, soul and house until the afternoon turned into the now established "Open Dance" in the evening. This meant 300 guests partied and danced to young, electrifying beats well into the night.

The radraum also said "Bye" and "Goodbye" at the weekend with a bike tour, a bike flea market and sociable music with Aperol Spritz.
