Friendship Association Turkey e. V.

The Freundschaftsverein Türkei in Offenbach/Main und Umgebung e.V. is the first Turkish association in Offenbach. It was founded at the Offenbach Adult Education Centre by young Turkish and German participants in the course "Dances of our foreign fellow citizens" with the aim of strengthening the dialogue between Germans and Turkish migrants and organizing joint activities. The Friendship Association works hand in hand with various Offenbach institutions to contribute to the coexistence of Germans and migrants on as many levels as possible. This includes regular participation in Offenbach festivals such as the Mainuferfest and the Kulturfest der Nationen, in which the Friendship Association has had its own stand since the first edition, as well as the Intercultural Week in Offenbach. In addition, the association organizes meetings with political parties at irregular intervals, holds seminars and readings, music and film evenings, excursions, joint cooking get-togethers and, last but not least, cultural evenings at the Offenbach Leather Museum.
