Handball has been played at the Kickers for over 50 years and the department already had a good reputation in Hesse in the years 1928-1930 and such illustrious names as Grimm, Rössner, Heyl, Bänglich and Renk were the guarantors of its initial success. Of course, it will not be possible to give a complete account of all of them in any review, but they were already friends back then and only some of them will be remembered here.
