Outpatient hospice and palliative counseling service of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. Regional Association Offenbach
The outpatient hospice and palliative care service of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. provides care and support for seriously ill people and their relatives. Our service area includes the towns of
Rodgau, Rödermark and Dreieich.
Description
We offer:
Hospice support:
Carefully selected hospice volunteers visit the seriously ill in their home environment. They take the time to offer comfort and help to make everyday life easier. They provide support and help, also for relatives.
Bereavement counseling:
This can take the form of individual one-to-one support or a group grief walk together. Experienced volunteer grief counselors and hospice helpers accompany the group and offer themselves as discussion partners for the bereaved. The meeting point is every 3rd Sunday at 15:00 in front of the Winkelsmühle meeting place, An der Winkelsmühle 5 in 63303 Dreieichhain. This is also where the 60-minute walk begins and ends. In bad weather conditions, the group will meet at the Winkelsmühle meeting place for a grief café.
All staff and volunteers have undergone intensive training and are prepared to accompany dying and grieving people. They are bound by confidentiality and, in addition to monthly reflections, also receive supervision and regularly take part in further training and education opportunities.
