Pregnancy usually raises many questions:
Where can I get help? Can I even take responsibility for a child? Is there any financial support?
Diakonie's pregnancy and pregnancy conflict counseling service offers a comprehensive range of advice on all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth as well as family and life planning.

Advice from an experienced employee
An experienced member of staff provides advice with empathy and a high level of expertise, anonymously if desired. She accompanies women in all upcoming decisions and also advises on pregnancy conflicts in accordance with Section 219 of the Criminal Code and issues a counseling certificate in accordance with Sections 5 and 6 of the Pregnancy Conflict Act

Free of charge and confidential
The free counseling is aimed at women, men and families from the city and district of Offenbach, regardless of religion, gender or nationality. All counseling is confidential and subject to legal confidentiality.

At the advice center you will receive information on

  • Pregnancy and birth
  • social and financial legal entitlements such as parental allowance, child benefit, midwives and much more
  • legal, psychological and medical issues
  • family planning, contraception and sexuality
  • options for adoption and confidential birth
  • public, private and church support services

The staff member will accompany you

  • in current crises
  • in the decision-making process in a pregnancy conflict
  • after a termination of pregnancy
  • after the birth
  • in dealing with institutions and authorities

Financial support
If necessary, you can apply for financial support from the federal foundation "Mother and Child", the church foundation "For Life" and the church relief fund at the advice center. Financial assistance from the foundations can only be applied for by women from the city of Offenbach.
