Music School Offenbach am Main e.V.

The Musikschule Offenbach am Main e.V. was founded in 1954 by citizens of Offenbach. It has been a member of the Association of German Music Schools (VdM) since 1973, to which more than 1,000 music schools throughout Germany belong today.

At the Offenbach Music School, over 1,500 pupils between the ages of 0 and 99 are taught in over 40 different subjects by around 40 teachers at around 35 teaching locations throughout the city of Offenbach.

In accordance with the objectives of the VdM professional association, the Offenbach music school's management focuses on a contemporary perception of musical education. In particular, the work with children and young people should introduce them to music as a cultural asset and help them to discover and develop their musical creativity. It can thus also contribute to equal opportunities in society. The bringing together of generations, the integration of different population groups and the peaceful and constructive coexistence of the many nationalities living in Offenbach are of the utmost importance.
