Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar e.V.
The Gurdwara is the spiritual school of the Sikhs. The name consists of the words "Guru" (Sanskrit for master/enlightened one) and "Duara" (Sanskrit for gate/passageway). The translation is therefore "the gateway to the Guru".
Description
The focus is on personal spiritual development, which, according to the philosophies of the Sikh Gurus, is promoted through Seva (voluntary service for people), Naam-Simran (meditation e.g. mantra) and honest merit.
Furthermore, these principles are promoted through Shabad Kirtan, hymns of spiritual personalities that reflect the path or love for the Creator, Langar, the free kitchen where everyone can help and help themselves to the food provided and Naam-Simran meditation.
