RÄUME ENTDECKEN

L187 ist eine künstlerisch unabhängige nomadenhafte Galerie,
jenseits der etablierten Kunstinstitutionen und damit
autonom und frei in der Ausrichtung. Der Raum fördert internationale
und lokale Entwicklungen, die in Einzel- und
Doppelausstellung, sowie in performativen und diskursiven
Formaten in einen Dialog gebracht werden. Ein Schwerpunkt
liegt in der Beauftragung neuer künstlerischer Produktionen,
die vor Ort entwickelt und speziell für die Räume
konzipiert werden. Die Räumlichkeiten für Ausstellungen
ergeben sich je nach Projekt und sind nicht auf einen festen
Standort angewiesen. Besonders in Zeiten, in denen durch
Hygienemaßnahmen Ausstellungsbesuche unmöglich oder
nur eingegrenzt möglich gemacht werden können, sind kreative
Online-Formate notwendig. Die enge Zusammenarbeit
mit eingeladenen Künstler*innen schöpft das Potenzial des
Kunstraums als dynamischen Ort der Begegnung.

L187 is an artistic independent nomadic gallery, beyond the
established art institutions and thus autonomous and free in
its orientation. The space promotes international and local
developments that are brought into dialogue in solo and double
exhibitions, as well as in performative and discursive formats.
An emphasis is placed on commissioning new artistic productions
that are developed in situ and conceived specifically for
the space. The premises for exhibitions result depending on the
project and are not dependent on a fixed location. Especially in
times when hygiene measures make exhibition visits impossible
or only possible in a limited way, creative online formats
are necessary. The close collaboration with the invited artists
explores the potential of the artspace as a dynamic place of encounter.
