JUTTA HINGST

The old technique of printing fascinates me with its inexhaustible possibilities of representation and experimentation. The diversity and the moments of the unforeseen and surprising in the work is what interests me. In my drypoint etchings, I depict everyday scenes. I either draw from a pool of sketches or create them from memory. I prefer to work directly and create images of people or situations that touch me in some way. The same applies to my drawings and watercolors.
