ART IN THE GARDEN
Beschreibung
The location was not chosen at random: This garden - itself a work of art! - are the roots of Ursula Merbach's paintings, the detailed silk illustrations painted under a magnifying glass for her (garden) fairy tale "Pinaruh" (Dana Verlag, 1991). His mother's garden is also one of the roots of Dennis Merbach's photographic and digital art. His sometimes playful, sometimes abstract photographs and photomontages have evolved from biology and nature photography and have grown beyond them. His favorite subjects are the unnoticed obvious, the overlooked and all that is dreamed of. Marlis Merbach is also deeply connected to the garden; her path also led from biology to art, from documentary photography to digital abstraction, which always remains rooted in nature. Dennis Merbach's novel "White Noise" (still unpublished), a hard sci-fi fairy tale and love story about time and quantum physics, would never have been written without 'Pinaruh' and thus the garden. Two generations, two novels and three artistic paths are rooted in this garden. We will be reading from both books, as well as from our book Kunst|Natur, which was published as a catalog for the exhibition of the same name at Kunstverein Offenbach in September.
The garden is located between
