BUTCHER'S SHOP IN THE BACKYARD

Comb. Shoulder. Nacken. with works by Ulrike Markus, Anna Nero, Aura Rendón Benger, Johanna Schlegel, Petra Schott Navigation has been important not only since the treatment of physical muscle tension. What appears to be a direct list of physical positioning in the exhibition title is directly related to the exhibition venue itself. Where meat and sausage products were once smoked, five artists from Offenbach and Frankfurt am Main are showing paintings, photography, objects and installations. The former butcher's shop is transformed into a temporary exhibition space for Offenbacher Kunstansichten. The ambivalent interrelationship between object and subject is deconstructed, manifested and expanded in the charged and contextualized surrounding. Break your body down - atmospheric and multifaceted, the exhibition will present the transience of bodies, material and immaterial corporeality and their specific relationships to one another. This is underlined by the edition "Geschnitten oder am Stück?", which the artists have developed especially for Kunstansichten. Text: Catharina Szonn
