My painting is a process. In an alternation of construction and deconstruction, pictorial spaces are created in which individual and collective (urban) structures are revealed. I work with the basic painterly elements of the surface and the line. By superimposing, crossing, contrasting or juxtaposing these elements, I create color architectures that extend beyond the edge of the picture. What interests me here is the interplay of three-dimensionality and surface.
