Stumbling block for Irene Abraham

Irene Abraham was born on August 31, 1887 in Oppenheim. She moved to Mittelseestraße 31 on April 16, 1937 and was single.

The house at Mittelseestr. 31 belonged to the Klauber family. It is not known whether non-Jewish residents also lived here. Apart from the owners, the Jewish couple Schiller lived in the house. Irene Abraham moved in in 1937, followed by the widow Anna Engländer in 1939. In August 1941, the Mühlstein couple also moved into the house with their foster daughter, Betty Sichel.

Irene Abraham was one of the Jewish people who were deported via Offenbach and Darmstadt on September 30, 1942. She was 55 years old at the time. She was deported from Darmstadt to the Lublin-Majdanek concentration camp. She probably died there. Her trace is lost. Her registration card only states: "August 1, 1941 on a journey".
