Ziegelstraße / Schöne Aussicht playground

In an extensive participatory project, the play and open spaces were redesigned in 2002/2003 with the help of state funding (HEGISS - Hessische Gemeinschaftsinitiative Soziale Stadt). The following areas now form a green ribbon between Berliner Strasse and Mainstrasse:

Neighborhood square west of the bunker:
A colorful dragon figure forms the striking landmark. Seating stones form the framework for a place to sit and meet.

Playground east of the bunker:
The playground is natural with ground modeling, water and mud play areas. To ensure a safe footpath connection between the "Berliner Straße-Ziegelstraße" green space and this playground, Ziegelstraße is traffic-calmed at this point.

Through path in the direction of Schöne Aussicht:
A connecting path leads from the playground east of the bunker to Schöne Aussicht and follows the former course of the Schnegelbach stream. The path is 1.5 m wide and planted with shrubs and grass on both sides. Lanterns illuminate the path in the dark. The routing of the path across an area owned by Nassauische Heimstätte was contractually agreed in 2003.

Schöne Aussicht green space:
The quality of the green space between Schöne Aussicht and Mainstraße is ensured by terrain modeling, meadow areas, benches and play equipment. The play equipment is primarily aimed at older children. There is also a table tennis table.
