"With each other - for each other" is the motto of Seniorenhilfe Offenbach

Seniorenhilfe Offenbach is an initiative of civic commitment, founded in February 1996, which more than 1080 Offenbach residents have joined to date. It does not pursue any party-political interests and is non-denominational. Anyone can become a member, take advantage of help or help others. Seniorenhilfe Offenbach is a registered non-profit organization.

• The members are of different ages and professions, with different world views and life experiences.
• Seniorenhilfe Offenbach is autonomous and independent. It offers time credits as an exchange currency in the changing roles of helpers and help seekers and promotes the endeavour to recognize and use one's own abilities as a valuable service for others.
• It promotes neighborly assistance by providing contacts to and among people who want to help or need help.

It aims to

• support people through a new form of neighborhood assistance and bring them into contact with each other.
• Help is provided on a reciprocal basis according to the motto "With each other - for each other", members help members.

It helps with

• Visiting the elderly, sick and needy
• Accompaniment to doctors, offices and authorities and on walks and shopping trips
• Relief for caring relatives
• Repair assistance of various kinds
• Writing letters, reading aloud, translations
• Help with correspondence with authorities, filling out questionnaires
• Looking after, caring for and walking pets
• Events such as lectures, discussion groups, excursions
