Description
Rumpenheim Kultur e.V. is a registered association that began organizing a wide variety of cultural and intercultural events in 1999. The concept includes openness to many and varied things - to music and theater, literature and art, film and performance, to explorations in our own and other people's everyday lives. And thus for the sophisticated as well as the trivial, for the wild and the gentle, for the cheeky and the truly serious.
The history of the Mausoleum: originally a small, almost square room, it was only expanded to its current size of almost 100 square meters a few decades later. Over the years, 17 members of the Landgrave Friedrich family found their final resting place there until it was cleared in February 1964 and the aristocratic remains were moved to a crypt on the south side of the church. After some time as a storeroom, it was used by an architect as an office from the mid-1980s and then stood empty again from 1995.
