Ariadne Project Ensemble
Description
The Ariadne Project Ensemble was formed in 2003. It all started with a singing workshop that offered polyphonic singing. The theme: "The thread of Ariadne", whether red or not.
Ariadne and her thread continue to fascinate composers and performers. A rich field for various vocal techniques. In our case, from Claudio Monteverdi (Lamento d'Arianna and Madrigal for 5 voices) to Mary Jane Leach, who in her early Ariadne compositions engages with Monteverdi's tonal material and processes it well in her minimal compositional technique of the time. Work on the "Ariadnes", which has increased significantly since then, is an integral part of our rehearsals. The ensemble now consists not only of vocalists who are also instrumentalists, but also of instrumentalists who are singers.
