Serbian Cultural Center Offenbach e.V.

The center has been a registered association in Offenbach since 1977, dedicated to the cultivation of Serbian culture and tradition. This has been practiced successfully for many years, particularly in the folklore department. The folklore department of the Serbian Cultural Center is one of the most successful Serbian folklore groups in Europe. Several German championships, most recently in February 2008 in Trossingen, and participation in European championships are proof of the high level and exceptional quality that this dance group has achieved. The group is also particularly proud of its young talent. The children aged between 6 and 16 are divided into two age groups and are just as successful as the adults.

In addition to cultivating its own culture, the Serbian Cultural Center also strives to ensure a better understanding between the cultures. Among other things, two members of the association sit on the Foreigners' Advisory Council of the city of Offenbach as representatives of the Serbian Cultural Center.

The content of the association's work and its efforts are reflected in the extent of its successes. The presentation of the Njegoš Order for the Care and Preservation of Serbian Culture by the Serbian Republic shows the high esteem in which the association is held at home.
