Who we are
Our daycare center is located in the southern city center of Offenbach and is assigned to the Senefelder Quartier. It is centrally accessible. The Marktplatz S-Bahn stop is a 15-minute walk away. The bus stops Bahnunterführung Waldstraße and Friedensstraße are in the immediate vicinity. Bus routes 101, 104, 105 and 107 take you to the Tempelsee, Bieber, Rumpenheim and Bürgel districts with their green spaces and forests. The banks of the Main with its parks and green spaces can be reached on foot in around 25 minutes.

Our team
We are a young multi-professional team. Our image of the child is influenced by Francois Rabelais.
"A child is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be lit."
We pursue the common goal: "Making children strong for the future!" Our educational staff bring different cultural backgrounds into their educational work. A respectful approach to cultural diversity is part of our day-to-day work at the daycare center. Our team includes trainees, freelance staff, cleaning staff, a cook and a janitor.

Educational concept
We work according to the open concept with elements of Reggio pedagogy and the learning workshop method. Eight age-homogeneous core groups meet for approx. 1.5 hours a day for morning circle and lunch. For the rest of the day, the children choose their own educational spaces according to their needs and interests. We work according to the situation-oriented approach based on the Hessian education and upbringing plan.

From the studio to the Kultura
Our daycare center has eight different educational rooms and a large garden.

The children can choose between:

  • Studio - creative room
  • Role play room - dramatic play
  • Breakfast and exercise room
  • UG hallway - dinosaur landscape, magnets, table games, hand-foot coordination vehicles
  • Natura - science room
  • Bauhaus - building and construction
  • Kultura - encounters between cultures, children's kitchen,
  • Corridor upstairs - magnets, table football, table games, area for pre-school children

Projects
Twice a week, a freelancer offers early musical education. Each home group takes part in this program for approx. 30 minutes. The "Weltentdecker" meet regularly in the last year of nursery school for excursions and activities on the topic of "Fit for school". At the end, the future schoolchildren spend the night at the daycare center. The youth art school comes over the summer months and offers various creative activities in the studio.

Religious education concept
Together with the Mirjam congregation and our "sister" daycare center at "Paul Gerhardt Haus", we celebrate a community summer festival and a Thanksgiving service. The pastor participates in festivals throughout the year (Easter, St. Martin's Day, St. Nicholas Day, Christmas) with special offers.

Freshly cooked - as seasonal and regional as possible
Fresh food is cooked in our facility. The children have a large selection of sugar-free breakfasts to choose from. They can choose between different types of bread rolls, sausage, cheese, cream cheese, milk and a milk alternative. Breakfast takes place between 7.30 am and 9.15 am. The children choose their breakfast independently - a pedagogical specialist supports them.
The menu changes weekly and the children's wishes are taken into account. We pay attention to seasonal and regional products and only work with selected suppliers. Lunch takes place between 12:00 and 13:00. All home groups eat together in their home group cafés. At 3.00 pm there is another afternoon snack for all children. Sufficient fresh fruit and vegetables are served with all meals.
