Who we are:

• We are the meeting place for children in Rumpenheim, where they can play independently.
• Our Protestant house is open to all children from all religions and cultures.
• We work inclusively and offer children with special support needs a place to play and learn together.
• We are a small family-run facility with a professional team
• Our aim is to respect and value each child's personality, to accept them with all their needs, interests, strengths and weaknesses and to support them holistically.
• We help children to develop an autonomous and independent personality. We want them to develop into social people who treat each other with respect and appreciate the environment.

Where to find us:
Our daycare center is located in the idyllic, popular district of Rumpenheim, with a good infrastructure and lively club activities. Close to the Schlosspark, where the Protestant church is located, our daycare center is situated in a traffic-calmed residential area. We use our 1,500 m² outdoor area with its mature trees and natural design all year round. There, the children find many educational opportunities, open spaces and shady spots.

Our play and learning areas:
There are open play and learning areas in 4 functional rooms. We attach great importance to self-determined play, as it is existential and the elementary form of learning. Play helps children in their learning and development processes. We moderate and accompany the children's own active play. In our pedagogically sound and thoughtful environment, children can experience elementary educational processes such as sensory perception, movement, play and communicative exchange.

Everyday life in our daycare center:
In addition to playtime, a well-lived everyday life is important. During the day, self-determined play alternates with age- and development-specific meetings, so-called "traffic light groups". Through our portfolio work, we deepen and document the children's development, strengths and interests.

We cook balanced meals every day:
We offer a healthy, sugar-free breakfast buffet. The children help themselves and drinks are available throughout the day. Our cook prepares a fresh lunch every day, based on the DGE guidelines. In the afternoon there is a snack, mainly consisting of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Cooperation with parents:
Close cooperation with parents is important for the optimal support of the children. The family is the most important place of learning, and the exchange and cooperation with parents is important to us so that we can play a complementary role in the children's development.

The church year:
The life and experience of the church year with its festivals and holidays and the cooperation with our Protestant church community is part of our concept. Every day, we live Christian values and traditions together with the children, the church teacher visits us weekly and we celebrate church services.

Pedagogical training at our daycare center:
We offer all forms of pedagogical training at our daycare center. Anyone interested is cordially invited to come in and take a look around.
