Public Relations Office

As a mediator between the administration and the public, the Public Relations Office is the first point of contact for the media and the people of Offenbach. The employees provide comprehensive information about the decisions made in the town hall and report on the urban, economic, social and cultural development of the city of Offenbach. The editorial team works cross-media and is responsible for all municipal content on the joint website of the City and Stadtwerke Offenbach Group (offenbach.de).

The central tasks of the press office include the preparation and dispatch of press releases and press invitations as well as answering journalistic inquiries. We issue filming permits within the City of Offenbach and arrange contacts with other institutions in Offenbach as well as with higher-level state and federal authorities.

In close cooperation with OSG Offenbacher Stadtinformationsgesellschaft, the marketing department of the office organizes the two major city festivals in Offenbach: the Mainuferfest and the Lichterfest. It supports the preparations for the annual Offenbach Week and the Cultural Festival of Nations and produces image and information brochures and posters. It also represents the city at trade fairs and is the point of contact for tourism, hotels and restaurants in Offenbach.

Other tasks of the office include the honours and town twinning departments, the organization of citizens' meetings and support for voluntary work.
