Public Relations Office

As a liaison between the administration and the public, the Public Relations Office serves as the primary point of contact for the media and the residents of Offenbach. The staff provides comprehensive information about decisions made at City Hall and reports on the urban, economic, social, and cultural development of the city of Offenbach. The editorial team works across multiple media platforms and is responsible for all municipal content on the joint website of the City of Offenbach and the Stadtwerke Offenbach Group (offenbach.de).

The press office’s key responsibilities include drafting and distributing press releases and press invitations, as well as responding to inquiries from journalists. We issue filming permits within the city of Offenbach and facilitate contacts with other institutions in Offenbach, as well as with higher-level state and federal authorities.

The department’s marketing division, in close collaboration with OSG Offenbacher Stadtmarketinggesellschaft mbH, organizes the two major city festivals in Offenbach: the Mainuferfest and the Lichterfest. It supports preparations for the annual Offenbach Week and the Festival of Nations, and produces promotional and informational brochures as well as posters. In addition, it represents the city at trade fairs and serves as the point of contact for tourism, hotels, and restaurants in Offenbach.

The department’s other responsibilities include the Honors and City Partnerships divisions, the organization of town hall meetings, and support for volunteer work.
