Honors

The Honors Department recognizes the commitment of people who have contributed to the common good of the City of Offenbach in a special way - far beyond the normal level. In recognition of such commitment and willingness to take on responsibility, the city awards various types of awards: Town Hall Medal, Citizens' Medal, Medal for Civil Courage, Rescue Medal, Letter of Honor of the State of Hesse, Hessian Care Medal, Hessian Order of Merit and Federal Cross of Merit. In addition, the department, in particular the municipal representative Bettina Jöst, organizes receptions for the Hessian Minister President or the Federal President as well as honorary sponsorships. Bettina Jöst is also in charge of protocol, planning and organizing special events for memorial days, wreath-laying ceremonies and events for Remembrance Day.
