Women's Office
The Offenbach Women's Office has been working since 1988 by resolution of the city parliament. Its work is flanked by its resolutions, such as project resolutions on equality in the labor market, protection against violence, the City of Offenbach's accession to the European Charter for Equality between Women and Men at local level and plans for the promotion of women and equality for implementation in the administration.
Overview
At the Women's Office of the City of Offenbach, you will find support in all matters relating to gender equality, whether you are a resident (responsibility of the Municipal Women's and Gender Equality Officer according to HGO), an employee of the core administration within the City Administration of Offenbach (responsibility of the Women's and Gender Equality Officer according to HGlG) or an employee of the municipal day-care center and the Offenbach Fire Department (responsibility of the Women's and Gender Equality Officer according to HGlG). By law, men and women have the same rights in Germany; women's offices work to ensure the actual implementation of equal rights at municipal level, including the civil service. The Offenbach Women's Office, as a department within the Mayor's Office, comments on proposals submitted by the municipal council, works in an advisory capacity in municipal committees and supports institutions, clubs and associations, women's groups as well as citizens and employees.
