Integration Officer

Overview

  • Development of guiding principles and strategic objectives and their operationalization for the integration of citizens with a migration background and the improvement of opportunities for their participation in social life, education and employment.
  • Development of measures to prevent or reduce disadvantages and discrimination based on migrant status and to ensure peaceful coexistence of people of different nationalities and cultures in the city of Offenbach.
  • Promoting dialog between the various population groups and fostering mutual understanding
  • Monitoring and strategic analysis of the social situation and social development of the city with regard to integration issues on the basis of statistical information (primary and secondary statistics), qualitative information and, if necessary, own surveys to ensure the availability of integration policy expertise
  • Collaboration in projects to promote integration, which are carried out jointly by various organizational units of the city administration and/or together with partners outside the administration.
  • Preparation and dissemination of information on integration and immigration issues in various media such as newsletters, city websites, brochures, etc.
  • The integration officer / consultant for integration issues in Offenbach works to develop, manage and monitor the implementation of the integration field of action as a municipal cross-sectional task both within and outside the administration.
  • Management of the "Integration Competence Team", the "Islamic Round Table", the "Integration Working Group", the jury for awarding the city's integration prize.
  • Participation in the coordination group for the intercultural weeks in the city of Offenbach, in the working group on intercultural opening of the administration, etc.
