Youth and trainee representation
Overview
The Youth and Trainee Representation (JAV) represents the interests of young people under the age of 18 and those under the age of 25 employed in vocational training at the City of Offenbach am Main.
It helps with work-related ambiguities or problems and deals with situations that require improvement in order to find and implement possible solutions. The JAV also ensures that the laws, service agreements and administrative regulations applicable to young people and trainees are complied with.
The JAV performs its duties in relation to the STV staff council, as the latter represents the interests of the employees vis-à-vis the employer. The JAV therefore works closely with the STV Staff Council and also attends its staff council meetings where possible. These take place every 2 weeks.
At present, contact with the youth representatives is made via the offices of the PR STV and the GPR.
